Initial impressions: A check-in

After being at your site a few weeks, I'd like you to sketch a picture of your initial impressions:

1. How would you describe your organization's culture?  What values seem to be most important? How does this manifest itself on a day to day basis? Try to use some specific examples.

2. What kinds of behaviors are rewarded or criticized?  How are they rewarded or criticized? How are you learning the unwritten codes of dress and conduct?

3. What do you like most and least about your internship site's culture? Why?

Week #2 Questions

1. Describe some highlights of your week. (If you can't think of particular highlights, then describe some of the tasks you did his week.) 2. Post some pics about your week. Be creative!  (Of course, don't invade anyone's privacy or violate confidentiality.) 3. After two weeks not in school, what does it feel like so far to not be at ICE all day? How does learning at your internship compare to learning at ICE? Be specific. 4. Week # 6 Questions

In our last seminar and in your latest blog posts, many of you have said that the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida and the intensifying debate over gun  control and school  safety have been on your minds recently.
